Scent

Because Beard Shampoo is used around the mouth, a small amount of coconut oil is used to provide the scent, which also has moisturising properties for your beard hair. This is important because, as your beard grows, it starts to take moisture and nutrients from your skin to keep it healthy, which depletes the moisture in your skin. It’s imperative to ensure both your skin and beard hair are constantly rehydrated, to avoid dry, flaky skin and brittle hair for your beard.

How to Use

It’s not necessary to use Beard Shampoo every day and, in fact, doing so could be counter-productive and actually strip the natural oils from your hair and skin. Joe therefore recommends that you use his Shampoo once or twice per week to keep it clean and hydrated.

Don’t be fooled by the thin and runny viscosity of the Shampoo; it’s more concentrated than you think and you shouldn’t need much, even for longer beards. Start by dispensing one full pump into your palm and massage thoroughly into your wet beard. A rich white lather will immediately form. If necessary, you can repeat the dose at this point. Spend two minutes using your fingers to massage the Shampoo thoroughly into your beard, getting right down to the base of the hairs. Rinse out with warm water and pat your beard dry with a towel.

As part of your beard care, finish off with Gnarly Joe® Beard Conditioner or Beard Balm to lock the moisture in and continue hydrating your Beard.

Brilliant, really works!

Hi I have been buying this product for a while and its does the trick before I would use a shampoo or other beard products and would get clamps of hair falling off especially under my chin but with this beard shampoo honestly the growth has come back and its looks much better will continue buying this awesome product.

I have gone through many different brands and products when it comes to beard care and especially shampoo, probably looking for the "right one" for about 2ish years before i found and tried Gnarly Joe.

I have a fairly long beard, not too dense, fairly straight hair. The shampoo itself is very fluid which caught me a bit by surprise at first use, but it makes it easily spreadable and work into your beard. Great smell, subtle enough, not overpowering which i find great and flushes out easily while leaving your beard clean, fresh and soft. It never let me down, with other shampoos i either had them dry out my beard ultimately, or a weird overpowering smell and some of them actually resulted in me getting split ends which i do blame on the shampoo because it happened after use with some and stopped when using others and also Gnarly Joe.

Ultimately i won't go back, won't try anything different anymore. Gnarly Joe works like a charm and while a bit pricey, you get what you pay for in quality ingredients, a healthy and clean beard and the bottle actually really lasts a long time. One happy customer!
