Joe’s Hair Clay can be used on wet or dry hair. If using this product for its styling and hold capabilities, it’s best to apply to clean, dry hair. Use your finger to scoop a small amount of Clay on the end of a finger tip. This Clay is concentrated: A little goes a long way, so start small and build if necessary. Wipe the Clay onto a palm and rub your palms together. This will break the thick Clay down into a more easily spreadable oil. Rub your palms throughout your hair to distribute the Clay evenly, then use your fingers to massage the emulsified Clay deep into your follicles and scalp, making sure to get to the very roots of your hair. Then use either fingers, a comb, or a hair dryer (blowing cold air) to style and add texture. There’s no need to wash this Conditioning Clay out: It absorbs fully during 8-12 hours. In fact, the longer it’s left in; the better the hair nourishing!

The centre of each of your hairs is called the Medulla, and is either hollow and tube-like, or contains fragmented cells. Once you’ve melted this hair conditioner by rubbing it between your palms, the concentrated oils penetrate and fill the hollow cores of your hairs to give volume and body. The natural ingredients then condition your individual hairs from the inside out, throughout the night. Nutrients are released whilst you sleep, which deliver moisture and add shine and bounce to your hair by morning.
